Keys

We require two keys. 1 is used as the main key or for your primary sitter and 1 is a back up key and stays in a safe place in my home.

Timeframe of Walks/Visits

All scheduled walks or visits are scheduled within a 1 hour time window.  This will allow us flexibility during our walking day for any unforeseen and unexpected circumstances (ie. weather, bad traffic, emergency, extra clean up at prior clients, etc). We will discuss the best time window for your pets at our meet and greet. We work 365 days, 24/7, rain or shine, including weekends, holidays and off hours.

Cancellations

We do not charge for same-day or late cancellations. Life happens and we totally understand! We kindly ask that cancellations be made the morning of your scheduled walk/visit OR 3 hours prior to your scheduled walk/visit. If you cancel after that and we don’t see it in time or you forget to cancel and we are already on our way or show up to walk/visit your pet, you will be charged for the visit.

Billing

Regular clients receive invoices every Sunday for the upcoming week. Payment is due within 7 days.

Occasional Clients, first-time clients, as well overnights and boarding will need to remit at least 50% of payment before start of service. 

All clients will receive access to our exclusive DoTimely Whiskers Portal. (more info under "Book Online" Tab) 

Availability

My regular walking/visiting hours are 9am - 7pm

Off hours are before 9am and after 7pm +$3

Weekends +$3, Holidays +$5

We will always do our best to make sure we are there for your preferred walking/visiting time. Please keep in mind that Whiskers & Tails is only a small business and not a big company.

Please confirm/book your requests for the following week by Sunday 6pm in your Whiskers Portal. 

We recommend to book your service as soon as you know. That way we can ensure you get into our schedule.  Please note that our schedule fills up really quickly around any holidays. Please get in your walking/visiting requests as early as possible, preferably 2 weeks to 1 month in advance.


Our Service Area

We gladly service homes in Smithfield, Carrollton, Suffolk, as well as Norfolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake. We will also travel to homes outside of those areas, although there may be an additional cost. Additional costs are distance dependent.
